My Letter to Unicef

Hello I would like to ask a favour I think it would be a awesome idea that everyone in New Zealand has to donate a dollar because I think it is important that the people who need our help get it so I am putting this letter onto my Blog Ill try my best to persuade all my viewers to convince New Zealand to pay a dollar and everyone who arrives, since there is going to be a lot of people coming to the rugby world cup.

Thankyou for your time!!

Room 16 On The News

Guess what? My class Room 16 was on One News last night at 6.00 pm. We were on the news because they were ecstatic and fascinated by our work with NETBOOKS!! The purpose of us being on the news was to convince the government to pay for schools who can't afford netbooks for their learning. I think the government spends too much money for statues to make our country look good when there are real human beings out in the world who need money for their education.

I felt really nervous when we were getting filmed but sad when I found out that the article was about a school who cant afford netbooks in Auckland. Take a look at the link and find out for yourself.

Auckland has the largest population of any city in New Zealand. It has almost 1.5 million residents. My Teacher

My teacher this year is Mr Somerville and he is the best teacher ever. He is always there when I need him in class and he always shares his wonderful ideas with us before he does them. I love my teacher because he is the first ever teacher I've been close to and I think it is just that he is so nice. I think he is awesome because he encourages us to do things that we haven't done before and he is also very cool because he is very passionate about our sports and learning. He is always interested in all that we do and we love him. I have been thinking that it is going to be really emotional when we leave his class at the end of this year but he is going to put us into some great hands of another teacher next year. I love it how that we have our netbooks now so that we can contact Mr Somerville in any way as long as he still has his computer. Thanks Mr Somerville!

My Besties

My Besties are Lola, and Dante. They are there when I am sad or lonely and they stick up for me when people are bullying me. I appreciate them for caring for me because that's what besties are for! I do the same for them when they have problems but it is normal to have ups and downs in our friendships, but we truley believe we are besties forever.

Life Education Caravan

On Monday the 8th of August we were all quietly waiting for a wonderful teacher named Lynn. We were all eager to go into the caravan. Our class all had to take off their shoes and put them under the caravan so they didn't get wet. Our whole class got into an order going from tallest to shortest.

Anxiously waiting outside the caravan, Lynn finally came out to greet us. After a few minutes Lynn invited us into the caravan.

When we came in we had a quick conversation with Harold about his homework. He was describing and talking to us about how hard his homework was for him and he asked us if we could help him. We had a quick think to ourselves and we replied “Sure Harold”. He slowly drifted away back to his house. We completed task 1, 2 and 3 for him. These included studying things about our bodies like, where the blood travels in your body and what the different parts do. For example, the small intestines and your large intestines. After studying about those things it was time to go and we missed Harold but we knew we were going to see him again at the end of the week.

Immersion Assembly

While sitting in our immersion assembly I was eager to see what topic we were going to study this term. I was excited to see that we are learning about different countries around the world, and what the flags represent in there traditional culture. But we mostly studied countries in the Rugby World Cup. I was so amazed that we were learning about countries because at my old school we had studied a lot about countries and what their flags meant. Excitedly running back to class we were pumped up to learn about our topic call 'Keep Your Eye on the Ball!'

My Holiday

On a fine sunny morning me and my family of five had a stroll to the park. It turned out to be a very good idea since it was very sunny day. While we were strolling to the park there were some loud barking dogs that had woken up from their sleep. While they were barking you could hear the owner screaming and yelling for the dogs to go back to sleep. The neighbour sounded like a cross old woman. Excitedly we ran straight to the skate park with our skateboards really quickly. People had been really generous and had shared and taught me and my brother some skills for skateboarding, and it really helped. After a really hot day at the park we skated back home and fall on our beds fast asleep immediately!

After a really long sleep we woke for something to eat. Raiding all the cupboards for food all we found were some crackers to snack on. Watching T.V there was an awesome documentary about a king Python having a battle against a king Alligator as they had a face off. The python managed to eat half of the alligator head. Once it hit the stomach it exploded like gunge and the alligator eventually came back to life. I couldn't believe my eyes, for a second I thought it was almost impossible! After I watched that documentary I slowly drifted off to the kitchen to do my chores.
