Immersion Assembly
Immersion Assembly
Today the school got together for an immersion assembly. An immersion assembly is when the whole school goes to the hall on the first of term to discuss our new topic.Mr Burt was dressed up as a nasty mosquito and slithered acrossthe school hall. Mr Jacobson was a mega moth with gigantic wings,as well as hosting the assembly. The new topic is Little Critters.
Surprisingly the teachers had special items they had put together for us. The teachers were all split up into team 1, team 2, team 3, 4 and 5. First up was team 1 and they had an item that represented Incy Wincy Spider as well as little Miss Muffet . It was really good when they
were wiggling and jiggling.
Next up was team 2 they presented a video of the life cycle of butterflies. It was entertaining because although I love butterflies I don’t know anything about them and that clip all the
information I needed. That was my favourite part of the immersion assembly.
The funniest part of the immersion assembly was when Mrs Barks group went up team 3, for NZ's Next Top Little Critter. She was telling us she was a beautiful young ladybird and then Mr Barks shouted out “I love you” and she replied “ I don’t blame you” then we all started laughing.
I love immersion assembly and I can’t wait for the next one.

Hi Jay'lee,
ReplyDeleteGreat work on explaining what happened at the assembly. I feel like even though I couldn't be there, I now understand everything that happened.
You are great at writing, keep it up!
